RITUALS AND SIGNIFICANCE

Devotees say that Ved Vyasa told Ganesha the Mahabharata on this day, while two other stories are related to Krishna. On this day, Maharishi Veda Vyasa is said to have begun narrating the Mahabharata to Lord Ganesha.
