The Mythological Story of Jaya Parvati Vrat:

In ancient times, there lived a Brahmin couple who had immense love for each other. Despite having abundant wealth, they were devoid of any children. They worshipped Lord Shiva fervently in hopes of being blessed with offspring. Pleased with their devotion, one day Lord Shiva appeared before them and instructed them to worship a neglected idol of his in a nearby jungle. He informed them that no one worshipped that idol, and by doing so, they would be granted their wish for a child. Upon hearing Lord Shiva’s words, the Brahmin went to the jungle to find the idol and clean it with water. On his way, he was bitten by a snake and fell unconscious. When he didn’t return, his worried wife went searching for him in the jungle. Finding him unconscious near the idol, she decided to stay by his side and started performing penance in front of the idol of Lord Shiva.Impressed by her devotion, Lord Shiva revived the Brahmin and blessed them with a child. With the boon granted by Lord Shiva, the Brahmin and his wife lived happily thereafter, enjoying the bliss of parenthood.
