Relevance of Paush Putrada Ekadashi Vrat

have a boy, it is called optimal.
Childless couples who follow this vrat under the vidhi (tradition/rules) are said to be blessed with a boy.
The name of Putrada Ekadashi Vrat is therefore referred to as Paush Putrada Ekadashi, since it falls in
the month of Paush.
Traditionally, the Ekadashi Vrat stretches about three days. It starts with the Dashami Tithi, continues
with the Ekadashi Tithi, and finishes with the Dwadashi Tithi.
Devotees uphold celibacy, rising early on the Tithi Ekadashi. On Ekadashi Tithi, those devotees stay up all
night before they break their fast on Dwadashi Tithi.
Since their path on earth comes to an end, devotees worship Lord Vishnu to obtain Moksha and seek
refuge in Vaikuntha (his celestial abode). Apart from obtaining Moksha, though, devotees still pursue
the blessings of the Lord for a joyful life.
