Atmakaraka planet and appearance according to Jaimini Jyotish:
Atmakaraka planet:- According to Jaimini Jyotish, the planet which gets the highest degrees in any zodiac sign is called the Atmakaraka planet. The Navamsa in which it is situated is called Karakamsa. For example, if we see, the Guru situated in Aquarius becomes the Atmakaraka planet by getting 22 degrees, then in such a situation, the Guru will be present in the Aries zodiac in the Navamsa horoscope, hence it will be called the Karakamsa of the Aries zodiac and the Karakamsa lord will be Mars. This is because the Lord of Aries is Mars.

Colour of the native:-
According to Jaimini Jyotish, the colour of the native is determined by the qualities of the Karakamsa lord of the horoscope. Some scholars of astrology consider the role of Navamsapati i.e. Navamsa Lagnesh and Varnad Lagna to be most important for the colour of the native and special abilities.
The colours of the planets specified in Brihat Jatakam are as follows:-
The colour of the Sun God is considered to be red, the colour of the Moon is white, Mars is red, Mercury is green i.e. grass colour, Jupiter is yellow with golden shade, Shukradev is of mixed or spotted colour and Shani Dev is of black and dark colour. The effect related to colours can be directly seen when the planets mentioned here are situated in Lagna and Navamsa Lagna, Karakamsa or Varnad Lagna. Although Shani Dev makes the complexion of the native a little dull or dark, but the conjunction of Saturn with any other planet gives the following effects to the native. Effect of Shani Dev’s conjunction on the complexion of the person:-
- If there is conjunction of Sun and Shani Dev in the horoscope of any person, then in such a situation the complexion of the person is wheatish and if there is conjunction of Saturn and Moon, then the complexion of the person is dark fair.
- If there is conjunction of Saturn and Mars, then the complexion of the person is golden like blood or yellow with redness.
- If there is conjunction of Shani Dev and Mercury, then the person is of blue complexion.
- If there is conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter in the horoscope, then the person is of golden complexion i.e. fair complexion with golden aura.
- If there is conjunction of Saturn and Venus in the horoscope of any person, then in such a situation the person is of dark complexion.
- If there is a conjunction of Saturn and Rahu, then in such a situation the person is of black complexion. Apart from this, if there is a conjunction of Saturn and Ketu, then the person is of pink complexion.
- If Virgo sign is present in the Praanpad Lagna Kundali of any native, then in such a situation the skin of the native is soft and slightly dark in color. If Capricorn sign is present in Praanpad Lagna, then in such a situation the native is slightly dark in complexion and also his skin is slightly rough. If Leo sign is present in Praanpad Lagna, then it increases the roughness of the skin of the native even more.
- According to Jaimini Jyotish, if Mars or Mercury in the second position from Lagnarudha or Lagna Bhav show the native to be much younger than his age, then the position of Ketu makes the native seem to be a little older. If Saturn is in the second position from Lagna Bhav, then the native appears to be very old and older.
- Saturn in the second position from the seventh lord of Praanpad makes the native very ugly. If Mercury or Venus is present in the second or fifth house from Praanpad, then in such a situation the jaws of the native are large and the lips are thick.
For example:-
If in the horoscope of any native, the lord of Lagna Venus, Karakamshapati Mars, Navamshapati or Navamsha Lagnesh Mars and Varnad Lagnaadhipati Shukradev are present, then in such a situation, the effect of Mars and Venus will be clearly visible in the nature of the native. Here, Mars will give enthusiasm, strength and courage to the native, while Venus makes the native beautiful in complexion, attractive eyes, soft skin, attractive personality and soft natured.
Views of the native according to Jaimini Jyotish:-
- If Aquarius is present in the Praanpad Lagna of the horoscope of any native, then the native is of a very deceitful and hypocritical nature.
- If the Moon and Rahu are aspecting or conjoining the fifth house from the Praanpad Lagna or the Atmakaraka planet of the horoscope, then in such a situation, the native is filled with despair and depression.
- If in the horoscope of any native, Moon and Rahu are conjoined in the ninth house from the birth ascendant or self-creating planet, then in such a situation, the native is wicked, sinful and fond of destruction.
- If in the horoscope of any native, the aspect of Mars is falling on the ascendant house, then such a situation makes the native angry, impulsive and violent.
- If in the horoscope of any native, the Karakamsa is present in Pisces, then the native is a person who speaks the truth, is a supporter of justice, practices good conduct and always inspires others to speak the truth.
- If in the horoscope of the native, the aspect of the expenditure lord is falling on the ascendant or self-creating planet, then such a situation makes the native wasteful. If the lord of the expenditure house situated in the horoscope is an auspicious planet, then in such a situation, it inspires the native to spend money for charity and welfare of the native, but if any sinful planet is situated, then such a situation makes the native a hedonist and of luxurious nature.
- If the lord of the fourth house in the horoscope is aspecting the Lagna or the Atmakaraka planet, then in such a situation the native spends his life peacefully and happily.
- If Ketu is present in the Karkaamsa of the horoscope, then in such a situation the native is sinful and deceitful by nature.
- If in the horoscope of any native the Lagna or Atmakaraka planet is aspecting the lord of the fifth house of the horoscope, Lagna Bhava or the Atmakaraka planet, then in such a situation the native is extremely excellent and learned.
- If the planet Mars is aspecting the conjunction of Sun and Rahu in the Karkaamsa of the horoscope, then in such a situation the native is violent and destructive.
- If any sinful planet is aspecting Ketu in the second house of the horoscope from the Karkaamsa, then in such a situation the native is given speech defects, stammering or ambiguity in expression.
- If the tenth house of a native’s horoscope is being aspected by any auspicious planet, then in such a situation the native is determined and skilled in decision making. If the lord of the tenth house Mercury is present in the Karkamsa, then in such a situation the native is very greedy.
- If Lord Shani is present in the Karkamsa or the fifth house from the Karkamsa, then in such a situation the native is very afraid and nervous, apart from this the native suffers from inferiority complex in the gathering or society.
- If in the horoscope of a native any cruel planet is situated in the third house from the Karkamsa, then the native is very brave and hardworking, apart from this the native is fearless, patient and very enthusiastic.
- If any auspicious planets are aspecting any sinful planets present in the fifth and ninth house from the Karkamsa of a native, then in such a situation the native is generous and charitable by nature.
