Purnima Vrat, dedicated to Goddess Savitri, is observed by married women on this day. Jyeshtha Purnima, as the name suggests, is observed during the Full Moon in the Hindu calendar month of Jyeshtha. On Purnima, women pray for their husbands’ happiness. On Purnima, in addition to Goddess Savitri, Lord Brahma, Yama, and Sage Narada are also honoured.
On Jyestha Purnima, it is very important to worship the Banyan tree, also known as Vat Vriksh. The Banyan tree is revered in India because of its large canopy, which provides shade from the sun. Weary travellers have been known to rest under the Vat Vriksh from time immemorial. The tree is regarded as a representation of divinity and purity. The Vat Vriksh, according to Hindu texts, represents the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwar — the three Gods that keep the cosmos in order. Devotees think that performing Jyeshtha Purnima Vrat Puja with dedication blesses the family with pleasure and prosperity.

Tulsi leaves are offered to Lord Vishnu, and Bilva patra is offered to Lord Shiva, among other things. Satyanarayan katha is listened to by some people.
Some people follow a strict fast, while others only eat satvik cuisine.
Arghya is served to Chandra dev, preferably made with milk and honey. It is hoped that it will make people’s life easier.
Devotees believe that Goddess Lakshmi is present with Lord Vishnu on this auspicious day. As a result, a pot filled with sweetened raw milk is donated to Peepal tree in order to gain fortune.
Putting a modest amount of milk in a well is considered auspicious for overcoming hurdles.
