Mythology of Kalki Jayanti:-
Kalki Jayanti is the celebration of the incarnation of Lord Kalki, the tenth and final incarnation of Lord Vishnu. In mythology, the Kalki avatar is mentioned in various Puranas, especially the Vishnu Purana and the Bhagavata Purana. According to these Puranas, the purpose of the Kalki avatar is to establish Dharma and destroy Adharma.
According to the legend, at the end of Kaliyuga, when Adharma, injustice, sin and anarchy will reach their peak, Lord Vishnu will take the Kalki avatar. In this era, humans will forget their moral and religious duties and anarchy and immorality will prevail in society. In this hour of crisis, Lord Vishnu will appear in the form of Kalki. Lord Kalki will be born in Shambhal village to a Brahmin named Vishnuyasha. He will ride a white horse and will have a sword in his hand. Lord Kalki will destroy the sinners and the unrighteous with his divine power, and re-establish Dharma. After his incarnation, truth and Dharma will be established in the world and a new era will begin which will be called Satya Yuga.
This story of Kalki Avatar is a symbol of victory of Dharma and Satya. It tells that whenever Adharma and injustice increase in the world, then God appears in some form or the other and establishes Dharma. The festival of Kalki Jayanti strengthens the belief that ultimately Dharma and Satya win and Adharma and injustice are destroyed.
