Keeping the fast of kajal teej brings immense good luck. In the Hindu religion, this festival is celebrated with great devotion and love. It falls on the Tritya tithi of Bhadrapad Shukla paksh.On this auspicious occasion, women gather in respect of Lord Krishna sing songs, and worship the neem.

Story
Once upon a time in one village, there lived a poor Brahman.ย Brahman’s wife kept the fast of kajri teej falling in the Bhadrapad month. The Brahmin wife’s told the Brahmin that today is her kajri vrat so bring her some gram flour. But his wife said that she wanted it no matter how.
The Brahmin stealthily entered the money lender’s shop made the sattu and silently proceeded to get out.
The workers were awake by the sound and started making noise. On hearing them the money lender came and caught the Brahmin, The Brahmin explained that he was not a thief. He is a poor Brahmin and has come to take a little gram flour as his wife is having a fast of kajli teej. The money lender checked the Brahmin and found that he was telling the truth. On hearing the Brahmin money lender said that from now on your wife is my sister and provided Brahmin with immense wealth. Brahmin gave all that he had to his wife and his wife worshiped the Kajri goddess with full devotion.
After this Brahmin’s life changed and they started living a prosperous life.
